The Seven Masters by DragonstormStudios The Seven Masters by DragonstormStudios
The Seven Masters are the greatest warriors the world has ever seen and ever will see. They protect the land with their innate fighting spirit, wielding their weapons with a mastery and grace that can only be achieved by the highest levels of meditation and discipline.

Master Lynx: A ferocious warrior whose charisma leads the other Masters to battle. He was raised in a noble family but struck out on his own to earn honour for himself and his clan. He brings with him a great Glaive-scythe, which only a Lynx can wield. On his back he carries a gift from his mother, a magical basket that can carry anything without ever getting heavy.

Master Tiger: Once a servant to a noble household, his unnatural strength began to attract unwanted attention. He learned to control his strength with the help of a retired swordmaster who worked as a woodcutter for the family. When the house was savaged by a jealous opponent, Tiger escaped and joined Master Lynx. He wields a great club with metal studs that no mortal creature can lift save himself.

Master Fox: Once the masters wished to cross a mountain pass. There they met a young three tailed fox, who offered his guidance through the treacherous pass in exchange for joining the Masters. They refused, but when they were attacked by a horde of bandits, the Masters heard the shrill cry of a flute and a white flash as Fox defeated the bandits with his magic sword. Grateful, the Masters allowed Fox to join them. A carefree soul who loves to play his flute, Fox is the merry companion.

Master Crane: Like Master Lynx she was once a part of a noble house, but was meant to be married off to a cruel, murderous warlord. She taught herself the art of the Tessa, the iron tipped fan, and was able to fight her way from her evil husband's domain and successfully escaped into the wilds. When her husband attacked her house, she returned and defended it successfully. She later joined the Masters for her skill and courage...and her unparalleled healing knowledge.

Master Oarfish: A grizzled, cynical old warrior, Master Oarfish tells no one of his past. He joined the Masters after saving Master Lynx from a trap set by their enemies. He wields two kamas in tandem, a deadly dance that has felled many foes. He is a wily warrior but is quiet, only giving his opinion when it comes to battle strategy. It is assumed that he was once a mighty general.

Master Spidercrab: A relatively young warrior, Spidercrab joined the Masters after they saw him holding an outpost by a village all on his own. He wields a mighty composite bow, which he mans with red fletched arrows. The arrows come in quick succession: while he launches one arrow, one hand may already have an arrow at the ready while the third grabs for another. He is a magnificent marksman. He enjoys the company of Master Fox due to his merry company and his interest in learning the art of the flute. He is also a good cook.

Master Dragon: An enigmatic creature, Master Dragon is a strange sight. He is black and blue, and he joined the others after they saw him crash land in a forest during a battle with the Falcon Brigands yet defeat them when they arrived. He is distant and unapproachable, wielding his magic and a bo with otherworldly power and grace, keeping his pearl safe wrapped in his tail. The pearl has a crack in it, and though Master Dragon does not reveal his origins, it has been assumed that he was cast down from heaven for some kind of crime.

This took months, mainly because of University. I started it in August! After several days of hard work I finished it. Mostly done with polychromos pencils, with touches of acrylics on a 17 x 20 illustration board. I also used black and white inks for several touch ups.

Oh, this is awesome! Especially Master Dragon interlaced in the clouds...AAAAAH TOO COOL!

Is this acrylic? Pastel? I'm so bad at telling these things but it looks so good!

This is godly.

Not only have you continued to surpass yourself in your artistic endeavors time and time again, the backstories you come up with merit nothing less than a full fledged novel. Please tell me a novel is in the works. Or more artwork like this.

Take all of my money. All of it.

I'm touring my country with my roommate. owo; I'm entering my final week of driving tomorrow. My updates have been sporadic and right now we're both kinda just bored. He's reading the latest Eragon book, and I'm cleaning out some 60+ dA thingys.
