Something's coming back Slowly, slowly, But she's coming back. More will follow soon!
It’s been a very long time, and I’m sad to be sharing this with you. Deviantart has held a special place in my heart for so many years (as of this journal, 12!), however it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to maintain multiple online galleries. As a result, I choose to remove myself from this platform. This is not an easy choice to make: I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with so many amazing people here and seeing incredibly creative individuals grow and nurture their crafts.
Unfortunately, over time many of these wonderful people have left. I occasionally look through my watch list and see old friends whose galleries have long since begun to gather dust. I see inspiring work and realized that it was posted years ago, with no further updates, but no sign of the user in question. And I wonder if they’re okay, if they’re still online and if they’re doing well. Maybe they’ve moved on.
It’s why it’s so important to me to tell you all where I’m going, because you all supported me as I grew and would be honoured if you continued this journey with me elsewhere. I will be migrating to focus primarily on Furaffinity, my Facebook page, and especially my website. You are all more than welcome to hop aboard my other sites, or to follow my website as it changes. This journal will remain to redirect anyone who would be interested in doing so.
Website: dragonstormstudio.com/
Facebook: www.facebook.com/DragonstormSt…
Furaffinity: www.furaffinity.net/spiderdrag… (Warning: this site contains mature content)
Part of this migration involves deleting most of the deviations from this gallery. They are a testament to where I was, and milestones of the progress I’ve made to get here, and that is why a few personally meaningful pieces will remain to represent that growth. Just like Deviantart saw this progress through so will it remain to express that purpose.
In the meanwhile please accept my deepest thanks for being a part of this adventure thus far. It’s been an incredible ride and I’m so thankful to have had the chance to both share my imagination with you, and to see your own imaginations flourish. This is a shout to you, my active followers, and those who are no longer here.
Shine on you crazy diamonds.
Hello folks! So in Furaffinity I'm due to get 1000 followers very soon. This is a momentous occasion so I figure it's worth an Art Thingamajig.
It's a raffle where a random person in my Furaffinity journal gets picked to get a bust done of their character as a traditional acrylic painting. Not just any ordinary bust, however. It'll look like this:
<da:thumb id="663430637"/>
<da:thumb id="659228666"/>
AND you'll also get a little written story along with it for your reading pleasure.
Neat eh?
Unfortunately to make things straightforward and not particularly messy, I'll have to restrict this event to FA only. So if you'd like and you don't have an account there already, you're more than welcome to make a temp account just for this.
The actual rules of the raffle (how to enter to win) will be laid out when I reach 1000 followers. The important rule is this:
The winner gets a high resolution file of their artwork for personal use but will not get the original piece. The original can be purchased at $130 CAD, shipping not included (it varies too much depending on where the piece is shipped to, and if you want tracking). Therefore if you win and would like to own the original one of a kind painting, it'll have to be purchased independently of the raffle win within a month of the painting's completion. Otherwise all commission terms of service apply.
An FAQ will be prepared for the raffle journal, but if you have any questions you're more than welcome to ask here and I'll reply, then add them to the FAQ if need be.
This is my fA account in question: www.furaffinity.net/user/spide…
See you there!
